Another city. Another apartment. Another place where a new tree house would have to be built!

I hated it.

Not because I had to shift from one place to another and not because I had to make new friends but due to the fact that it meant losing a lot of my toys on the way.

Over the years, my favorite Barbie doll lost a lot of her accessories and few years later, I lost her.

I was devastated.

However, beyond the loss of toys and the personal artifacts, the biannual ‘Moving Days’ or ‘The Day’, as we referred to them in our household, taught me a lot of important life lessons…

In 2011, I went to Cambodia for my grad trip. Initially, all I wanted to see was Angkor Wat but I found love, peace and happiness in the streets of Cambodia.

Here are some of the memories, captured through the lens of my camera, that I wanted to share with you guys.

I have thought a lot about what I want to say about Cambodia but I’ll just let the pictures do the talking.

It was in 2001 that I learnt to ride a bike. I was 14.

Yes, you read that right, LEARNT to ride a bike at 14. While most of my friends had probably learnt to ride a bike when they were about 5 to 6 years of age, I didn’t, and I have a perfectly good explanation for that.

I am afraid you see; afraid of falling, afraid of losing my balance and afraid to not be in control. That’s partly the reason behind my hydrophobia. I am petrified of large bodies of water and I try to avoid swimming as much as possible. I need to feel solid ground beneath my feet to not be anxious.

So you can imagine how I must’ve felt when my dad gifted me a bike on my 14th birthday. I asked him, ‘you are joking, right?’

He wasn’t.

My parents wanted me…

Of dumb things and people. Cryptic post is… cryptic.

The title is uber clever right? -_-

So, I did something extremely dumb. I won’t say whether I did it yesterday or a couple of days ago because that’ll be like giving away too much information.

But, I think it’s safe to say that I’ve officially lost my appetite. (it’s got nothing to do with love, if that’s what you are thinking… aha! you were thinking that, weren’t you?)

The thing with stupid things is that once you start doing them, they just suck you in and you want to do more. One minute you’ll be like, ‘oh hey! I don’t want to do this because I am a rational and a logical human being right?’ right *insert an exasperated expression here* and the next thing you know, ‘BAM! STUPID STUPID STUPID’.

I want to tell myself, this too shall pass but my stomach is in knots. I feel sick. No, I didn’t kill or hurt anyone. Geez.

Does this happen to you? Do you feel this way sometimes?

oh hey, this time, next year… JAPAN! BAM!

There you go, just a little update.

P.S: This is exactly why I have come to fear socializing, makes sense?

I wish I had bothered instagramming that but oh hey… 😀 *what has been seen cannot be unseen* wheee!

Also, I need an undo button in my life. Do you?
